How much PTO hours do I get?
- Less than one year: No paid PTO hours (No PTO hours earned the first year)
- At least one year but less than 3 years: 40 hours Full Time, 20 hours Part Time
- 3 years but less than 10: 80 hours Full Time and 40 hours Part Time
- Over 10 years: 120 hours Full Time and 60 hours Part Time
Full-Time employee is anyone who works 35 or more hours per week
Part-Time employee is anyone who works 20 hours or more but less than 35 hours per week
What is the PTO accrual period?
Vacation hours based on your years of service will be divided into 26 paychecks and made available to you each pay period. You can also use up to 50% of your hours in advance. As an example if you qualify for 40 hours a year then you can take up to 20 hours on January 1.
What happens to my PTO if I do not use?
If you do not use PTO hours and you reach your maximum hours based on the number of years then you will to acrue anymore PTO hours.
When can I take my PTO?
You can take vacation anytime of the year except blackout days.
How do I know how much PTO I have?
Available positive or negative (if used more than available) will be shown on your paystub. If you've not already setup please follow instructions here to setup your Quickbooks account.
How do I request for PTO?
Please email (This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.) at least two weeks prior to taking PTO (unless sick/emergency) with hours you are requesting and the dates you will be taking PTO. I will respond with approved or denied. If approved the hours will be paid on the pay period your vacation falls.
What happens when I am sick/emergency/bereavement?
You can use your PTO for any reason long as it is communicated and approved including when you are sick, emergencies, and bereavement.
Can I cash in my PTO if I do not use it?
No, there is no cashing in unused PTO hours.
